Dr. Appalaneni graduated from Guntur Medical College, University of Health Sciences, India. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the Wright State University School of Medicine in 2003 and served as chief medical resident. She completed her fellowship in Gastroenterology at Wright State University in 2006. She then pursued specialization in Endoscopic Ultrasound with an additional fellowship in Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy (Interventional Endoscopic Ultrasound) and Endoscopic Research at Medical University of South Carolina in 2007.
She served as a committee member for the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy – Standards of Practice Committee and American College of Gastroenterology – Training Committee. Dr. Appalaneni is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Boonshoft School of Medicine. Dr. Appalaneni is married and has two children.
