Dr. Walsh received his undergraduate degree at the College of the Holy Cross and his M.D. from Georgetown University in 1983. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. After serving as a general internist in the Air Force, he completed his training with a fellowship in Gastroenterology at Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland Air Force Base in Texas.
He previously served as a gastroenterologist at Wright-Patterson AFB and as the Medical Director of the Endoscopy Unit at Miami Valley Hospital. He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at Wright State University School of Medicine. Dr. Walsh is married and has three children. His personal interests include reading history, skiing, and mountain climbing.
